Missing teen found safe

Onalaska parents Charles and Carolyn Calcote announced their son Dooley had been found safe in Houston three weeks after he was reported missing.

In a social media post, Charles Calcote shared the news that Dooley was located and was happy to be home.

Late Saturday night, Calcote said investigators shared a tip that the teenager was near Aldine Mail Route and U.S. Hwy. 59 in Houston.

“I was really skeptical if it was going to pan out to really be him,” Calcote said.  “If anyone knows that area it’s probably got to be one of the most dangerous places on earth for anyone to be on the streets.”

Dooley’s father and  brother located him at a gas station completely unharmed.

“He was more than happy to see me and ready to go back home . He had been there for the whole three weeks living on the streets and sleeping under Metro bus stops,” Charles Colcote said.

“THANK YOU LORD for answering my prayers and keeping him safe while he was gone from us !! I am also very thankful for everyone who shared our posts and prayed for us and for all the help we have received from the Polk county sheriff’s department , 1st priority search and recovery, and from the private detectives at Operation Precious Cause . God bless you all,” he added.
